Barker Claims First Big Diamond Modified Win

Big Diamond opened up their bonus racing season with the first of four post Coalcracker dates being added to their 2020 racing scheduled.

The modified 25 lap feature saw Alan Barker and Dan Hineline bring the field to green.  It was Alan Barker going green to checkered flag in this caution free non-stop 8 minute feature event.  Barker parked his 16B entry in victory lane for the first time at Big Diamond Speedway.

The top 10 was round was rounded out by points leader Mike Gular in second, followed by Louden Reimert, Duane Howard, Craig Von Dohren, Alex Yankowski, Kris Graver, Jeff Strunk, Rick Laubach and Dan Hineline.

The parade of first time winners continued with sportsman winner Cole Stangle and 602 Crate winner Tyler Peet.

Cole Stangle moved into the lead on lap 12 from his 6th starting position to take his first career win.  The top 5 was rounded out by Jack Butler, Brad Brightbill, Mike Toth and Steve Young.

In the 602 Crate 20 lap feature it was Tyler Peet taking his first win at Big Diamond from a 9th place starting postion.  The top 5 was rounded out Dakota Kohler, Jonathan Swift, Joel Smith and Steve Lyle.

Big Diamond’s next event is Friday October 2 with Modifieds, East Coast Wingless Sprints and a full program of racing starting at 7:30.
