Logan Watt Claims $10,000 Forrest Rogers Memorial at Grandview Speedway

Logan Watt moved into 3^rd place on lap 42 not knowing that one lap later the leaders Jeff Strunk and Eddie Strada would make contact while challenging each other for the lead and take each other out of contention when both cars spun and took damage to end their night and handing over the lead to Logan Watt on lap 43.   After the 2^nd and final restart Logan held off a late charge by Doug Manmiller to take the win and drive into the Forrest Rogers Memorial victory lane.

Bobby Trapper led for the first 29 laps until Doug Manmiller took over the lead on lap 30.  Eddie Strada used the high line to take the lead on lap 36 while Jeff Strunk used the center line to close the lead every lap until Strada and Strunk made contact on lap 43, taking both drivers out of the race.  On the next restart Logan Watt charged to the lead and held off second place Doug Manmiller by over 2 seconds to take his second Grandview win of the season.

Heat race winners for the 39-car field were Logan Watt, Craig Von Dorhen, Louden Reimert  and John Willman.

Consolation’s winners were Timmy Buckwalter and Rick Laubach.
