Logan Bauman Claims First Sportsman Win at Grandview Speedway

Logan Bauman took over the lead on lap 11 from his 11th starting position and opened a 6 second lead over the field until two late restarts bunched the field back up.  Bauman charged to the front on both single file restarts holding off Brian Hirthler and Logan Watt for his first win of the season.

Kyle Hartzell led for the first 8 laps for the sportsman feature with Zack Steffey grabbing a short lived lead off the first restart on lap 9 only to fall to second on the next restart when Logan Bauman charged to the front and opened a dominate 6 second lead while Logan Watt quietly moved into 2nd on lap 18.  Late cautions bunched the field, but Bauman continue to prevail and hold off a hard charging top 5 of Brian Hirthler, Logan Watt, Kyle Smith and Ryan Graver to drive into victory lane for his first win of 2023.

Heat race winners for the 38 car sportsman field were Kyle Hartzell, Tom Miller Jr, Logan Bauman and Molly Strussy.

Cody Manmiller and Kenny Bock won the consolation races.
