The 2023 Grandview Sportsman season opened with a battle of the number 4 cars. The defending 2022 sportsman champion Brian Hirthler in his 4* battled the 4M of Logan Watt virtually side by side for 14 laps until Hirthler took the lead on lap 14 and then holding off a hard charging Bett Gilmore to take his first win of the season and the 2023 championship points lead.

Next up on Saturday, April 15 will be a two-division program under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series banner for the T.P. Trailer 358 Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman. The program will consist of qualifying races leading up to the 30-lap Modified and 25-lap Sportsman main events.
