Ryan Grim Hold off Logan Watt to Win Sportsman 38er at Grandview Speedway  

Ryan Grim passed Jordan Henn on lap 17 and held off strong bids for the win by Cole Stangle at midrace and then Logan Watt in the final 10 laps but Grim held on to take the 38er checkered flag and drive into victory lane.

Jordan Henn took the lead at the drop of the green until lap 17 when Grim moved around Henn for the lead in lapped traffic .  On lap 21 Henn had a flat tire and on the ensuing restart Cole Stangle briefly took the lead but Grim through a slider to quickly take the lead.  Logan Watt then moved into 2nd place on lap 25 from his 17th starting position.  Watt battled Grim right to the final checkered were Grim took the win by only 2 tenths of second and drove into the Freedom 38er victory lane for the win.

Heat winners for the 50 car sportsman field were Logan Watt, Kyle, Kevin Hirthler, Decker Swinehart, Mike Schneck and Brett Gilmore.

Consolations were won by Brad Brightbill, Cody Manmiller and Dylan Hoch.

On Saturday, September 17, the 52nd annual Freedom 76 will be run for the 358 Modifieds. The program will include qualifying heats, consolation races, cash dash, along with the Schaeffer Racing Minuteman 20 leading to the 76-lap championship feature. Pit gates open at 9 am for inspections, grandstand ticket windows open at 3 pm. pill draw for position is at 4:30 pm. with the drivers meeting at 5 pm. warm-ups are at 6 pm. with racing starting at 7 pm. Fans will be able to enter the Grandstand areas between 9 am. and 12 Noon to reserve seats with blankets.

Adult Grandstand tickets on Saturday will be $40, while children ages 6-11 are $10, with children ages 5 and under admitted for free. Pit admission will be $45, and no license is required.
