Will Power ran a cool and calm race, taking pole and coming home in third position to clinch his second IndyCar series title. Power led the beginning of the race before Alex Palou charged up through the field after an engine penalty to win the race. Power never left the effective top 3, and continued his yearlong strategy of running consistently in the top 3 to win a title. There was a strong challenge from his Penske teammate Josef Newgarden, who came from P25 to an incredible P2 at the flag, but Power managed a brilliant race. Alex Palou won the race itself in absolutely dominating fashion, winning by 30 seconds.
