A Outlaw Win for Everyone: Jacob Allen scores the win for the World of Outlaws but the Posse Fans Erupt for the Hometown Winner

Abbottstown,PA- When leaving a race track in Central Pennsylvania after a World of Outlaws Nos Energy Drink Sprint Cars Series driver defeats the Pennsylvania Posse, it’s usually a sour, bitter feeling. Losing to your arch rival once again. But last night was the exception to the rule. There are only 2 Outlaw teams that Posse fans would make just as much noise for a PA regular. One of those teams showed that the Posse and Outlaws can cheer as one as Hanover’s  Jacob Allen of Shark Racing scores his  3rd career Outlaws win, 2nd of 2022 and first at The Lincoln Speedway, where his father Bobby won 75 times in his legendary career.

“Since we started ever racing and racing here with an Outlaw event this was the ultimate goal.” Said Allen post race. “ This is a dream to win here with the crowd and that field of cars tonight here. It lived up to every dream you could imagine if you were going to win an Outlaws race here at home. We used to race at Hunterstown go-kart track and come here after and watch the races so to go from that kid with this dream to living it out. It’s surreal.”

The 9 year World of Outlaws veteran took the lead from Justin Peck on lap 24 and never looked back after starting the 35 feature event in the 5th spot and in this writer’s opinion. It was the finest drive of his career. The roar from the crowd was heard over the 28 car feature field as Allen pulled the trigger on a slider on Peck in turns 3 and 4 taking the lead for good. But it all started with a restart about 10 laps prior that saw pole sitter Anthony Macri not go and Allen took advantage as well as eventual third place finisher Carson Macedo.

“Ive felt like I’ve been caught sleeping on starts and restarts and I’ve gone back to my trailer disappointed in the decisions I’ve made on the race track. Making the right decisions is so tough, especially with the World of Outlaws. I feel really proud that I can go back to my trailer knowing we made the right decisions and my team made the right decisions as well.”

The last month has been a corner turning for both Shark Racing teams. With Jacobs 2nd win of the year and a win last weekend by teammate Logan Schuchart. The Shark boys are showing there is still some bite left in this team yet this young season.

As the feature drew to an end. Allen’s years on the road and his maturity shown in the closing stages of the Gettysburg Clash. The way he handled lap traffic was so smooth that got him to catch Peck and pull away even with a late race restart with 5 laps to go. The crowd came to their feet, knowing the struggles of this team and where they started from, to where they have gotten to this point. A World of Outlaws Winner in Pennsylvania. The scene in victory lane is one I’ve only seen after a PA driver defeated the Outlaws. Everyone was a Jacob Allen fan tonight. The loudest cheer for an Outlaw driver after winning a feature event in PA.
