Crate 602 Tech Inspections Change Results of First 3 Days of STSS Sunshine Swing

Following technical inspection, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco has announced the following adjustments to the ‘Sunshine Swing’ Crate 602 Sportsman finishes from Wednesday, February 9; Thursday, February 10 & Friday February 11 at All-Tech Raceway.

The following disqualifications have altered the finishes:

• Kevin Chaffee, winner, Feb. 9 – carburetor violation
• Joshua Allen, second-place, Feb. 9 – following parts did not meet OEM specs: valve locks, connecting rods, pistons, camshaft – further tech inspection was not required after removing oil pan.
• Michael Ballestero, fifth-place, Feb. 9 – tire compound violation
• Brandon Watkins, winner, Feb. 10 – take-up spring exceeded maximum rate of 5 lbs.
• Brian Calabrese, winner, Feb. 11 – Rocker Arms
