The PA 410 sprints visited the Kingdom of Speed at Bridgeport Motorsports Park for the “Invasion of the Posse” along with the modifieds for a double header of Tuesday night racing. Thirty 410 sprints made the trip to NJ and thirty-five modifieds were in attendance under clear skies and spring temperatures.
The 410 sprint cars kicked the racing off with Tim Shaffer and Kerry Madsen bringing the field to green and Shaffer taking the lead for the first 5 laps. There were several lead changes between Madsen and Shaffer until caution flew on lap 8 with Madsen just taking the lead back from Shaffer. On the lap 8 restart Madsen immediately went back into the lead and took command of the race as he extended his lead through lapped traffic and a second lap 28 restart to take the win and trip to victory lane by a 1.5 second margin of victory over Tim Shaffer.
In victory lane Madsen noted “The bottom had grip after the track prep and Tim was around the top while I was around bottom and I just kept working and as the tires heated up I could tell I was making progress. I just got him and as the bottom slowed down a bit then I decided to hammer the top the rest of the way.”
The top 10 was rounded out by Tim Shaffer in second followed by Anthony Macri, Brent Marks, Ryan Smith, Kyle Reinhardt, Freddie Rahmer, Danny Dietrich, Tyler Ross and Justin Peck.
The heat races were won by Anthony Macri, Tim Schaffer and Kyle Reinhardt.
The last chance consolation went to Adam Carberry.

Krachun never lost contact with Buffalino and made several attempts to regain the lead that did not stick and in the end it was Dominic Buffalino taking the checkered flag into victory lane for his second win in a row. The race was run in 8 minutes and 49 seconds without any cautions.
In victory lane Buffalino commented “It felt like a 130 laps and I don’t know if I ever went 30 laps in a row here without a caution. It definitely wears you out and I don’t think I ever ran a whole feature here without hitting the wall. I want to thank Glen and Bonita for giving me this opportunity. I’ve been in a lot of stuff and I always felt like I could do it. I got in this car saying if I don’t do it here I’m not any good. We had a little rough start this year and had to figure some stuff out and I think we are on it now.”
