Mike Maresca, Ryan Smith and Sammy Martz Jr takes titles at Bridgeport Motorsports Kingdom of Speed 100 Weekend Season Opener

The final day of the Kingdom of Speed 100 weekend had another day of unseasonably warm conditions for the Doug Hoffman Memorial 60 and the URC Sprint car season opener.

Mike Maresca took the Modified 60 lap feature winning a last turn battle with Mike Mahaney for the trip to victory lane. 

The URC Sprints saw Ryan Smith make an outstanding run from a 15^th starting spot to take the lead on lap 9 over Brian Carber and drive into victory lane.

The 602 crate feature saw Sammy Martz take the win from green to checkered flag holding off Steve Kemery for all 20 laps to get his first 602 Crate win at Bridgeport.

Duane Howard started the 60 lap Doug Hoffman Memorial on the pole position and lead early only to lose a motor on lap 20 while leading the race giving the race led to Mike Maresca who would lead the next 40 laps and hold off a last lap last turn slider from Mike Mahaney to take his second win in a row at Bridgeport Motorsports Park.

Mike Mahaney continues a strong season since coming north from Florida and has had 4 top five and one top ten in March.
