Shane Stewart continues to run a limited schedule with the 71 entry but BAPS Motor Speedway continues to be a favorite destination for the Bixby, OK driver who was pleased with the 2nd place finish.

JJ Grasso was in 10th place from a 24th starting position when his day ended with an incident on lap 14 sending him to the pits on the hook.

Steve Buckwalter in the 17B was the hard charger of the day with a 12th place finish from a 21st starting position.

JR Berry literally went into orbit in qualifying when his 74jr entry caught an edge and launched into the middle of the turn and landing on top of the catch fence.  It took track crews some figuring but they managed to safely remove JR and the car from the fence. Needless to say JR’s day ended after this incident in qualifying timed hot laps.
